Postpartum Despression Symptoms

Postpartum depression may appear to be the baby blues at first — but the signs and symptoms are more intense and longer lasting, eventually interfering with your ability to care for your baby and handle other daily tasks. Postpartum depression symptoms may include:

  • Loss of appetite

  • Insomnia

  • Intense irritability and anger

  • Overwhelming fatigue

  • Loss of interest in sex

  • Lack of joy in life

  • Feelings of shame, guilt or inadequacy

  • Severe mood swings

  • Difficulty bonding with your baby

  • Withdrawal from family and friends

  • Thoughts of harming yourself or your baby

  • Untreated, postpartum depression may last for many months or longer.

Statistically, 13% - 19% of women around the nation suffer from Postpartum Depression. It is a horrible experience that no woman should go through alone! We are here to help you while creating awareness of the same.

STRESS-FREE HOBBIES
When your mind is full of stress, it needs a releasor, something that will entertain it so you can release your anger and frustrations and focus on something positive and relaxing. For example,  learn a new hobby like crochet, manual arts, scrapbooking, etc.

Daycare Center for Free Time
We are working on getting the funding to create a daycare center in the facility so mom can have some relaxing time in the hobby classes or while participating in the support groups. We will keep you posted.
